Just like the other member states of the European Union, Hungary also prepared its own waste management plan with the primary purpose of reducing waste and recycling of it as much as possible. With this goal in mind, TRP-Terenye Kft has implemented a complex one-of-a-kind technology in Hungary allowing a wide range of various types of biodegradable wastes to be recycled by producing eco-friendly fuel. On the long term, the project is aimed at reducing the amount of waste going to landfills and extracting valuable secondary raw materials from wastes and replacing other environmental pollutants with the products sold.
Our company has the capacity to process 10 thousand tonnes of biodegradable waste a year. We have concluded long-term agreements with various companies in Hungary which generate biodegradable waste on a larger scale, as the disposal of such waste is an issue to be solved both in the region around the plant and in the remote areas of the country as well.
Following a trial run, our plant with a floor area of 2,240 square meters started its operations in the summer of 2015 in the industrial zone of Bátonyterenye. Our future objective is the continuous and innovative development of our operating capacities to ensure our company becomes a renowned player across Europe.
For the investment worth HUF 1 billion and 866 million, TRP-Terenye Kft was awarded HUF 933.4 million in subsidy through a call for tender in the framework of the Economic Development Operational Programme.
We produce 4 tonnes of biodegradable fuel product an hour.
